Our Story

Martino Glass Company was incorporated in 1966 by John Martino as a glass shop which provided glass and repair services to Berkshire County area towns and Western Mass. He built an excellent reputation by providing quality work and service in the community. 

In October of 1980, Tom O'Brien, whom at the time was employed at Martino's, bought the company from John. He saw an opportunity in Martino Glass to expand its services and he worked diligently to do just that. Tom defined Martino's by not only the quality of workmanship but generously donating his time and services to many local non-profits. 

Ashley Shepardson joined Martino Glass in 2011 as an intern. When she volunteered to take on estimating and design services during a busy summer, Tom loved to joke, “Anyone who asks me for more work, but not more money, can have it!”

A shared passion for the glass industry led to a partnership for Ashley in 2015. After Tom’s unexpected passing in 2017, Ashley purchased the business and continues to carry forward the values built as a team—taking care of customers, employees, and the community.
